Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Certificates-of-Knowledge.com platform (the "Platform"), including our website, participant portal, and any related services. By creating an account, submitting an application, making a payment, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Who May Use the Platform

The Platform is intended for individuals seeking self-paced Certificate of Knowledge training. By applying, you confirm that the information you provide (name, contact details, and any other application information) is accurate and that you are the person on whose behalf the application is made.

2. Applications, Programmes and Subjects

Applicants select subjects within a single programme at a time, subject to the minimum-subjects requirement shown at the point of application. Once accepted, subjects and lessons are made available through the participant portal for the duration of the applicable study window. We may, at our discretion, extend a study window, and any such extension will be recorded on your account.

We reserve the right to update programme content, subjects, fees, and study windows from time to time. Material changes affecting subjects you are actively studying will not be applied retroactively to reduce access you have already paid for.

3. Fees and Payment

The Platform charges fees for, among other things: application processing, course access per subject, subject assessments, certificate consolidation, and other services described at the time of purchase (including Career Services, described in Section 5). All fees are shown in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW) unless stated otherwise and are payable using the payment methods listed on the relevant payment page.

Payments are confirmed manually by our staff after you submit your payment reference. Access, receipts, or certificates tied to a payment are only released once that payment has been reviewed and confirmed. We may contact you by email or WhatsApp to confirm a payment or resolve a discrepancy. Once confirmed, a PDF receipt is made available to you through the participant portal.

Promotions and discount codes, where advertised, apply only within the dates and conditions stated for that promotion or code and may be withdrawn or amended at any time before use.

4. Refunds and Cancellations

Fees are generally non-refundable once a payment has been confirmed and the corresponding access, service, or attempt has been provided. If you believe a payment was made or applied in error, contact us using the details in Section 10 and we will review the matter in good faith. Any refund or fee adjustment we agree to make is issued at our discretion and recorded against the original payment.

5. Career Services

CV writing, cover letter writing, and interview coaching are optional, separately priced services available through the participant portal. Fees for these services are independent of, and additional to, your programme and subject fees. We aim to deliver a professional and useful outcome for each service purchased, but we do not guarantee any particular result, including job offers, interview outcomes, or employer responses.

6. Assessments and Certification

Each subject is completed through a multiple-choice assessment. Passing an assessment at the required pass mark results in an automated Certificate of Knowledge for that subject. Certificates issued by the Platform can be independently verified using the certificate reference number, as described on our certificate verification page. You are responsible for the accuracy of the name and details you provide, as this is the information that will appear on your certificate.

7. Revision Guides and Other Resources

Revision guides and similar study resources may be offered for free, for a fee, or on enquiry, as shown against each resource. Where a fee applies, it is payable and confirmed using the same process described in Section 3.

8. Account Security and Acceptable Use

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by attempting to access another participant's account, interfering with assessments, or using the Platform for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe has been used in violation of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All course content, subject materials, assessments, revision guides, and branding on the Platform belong to Certificates-of-Knowledge.com or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal study only, and may not copy, redistribute, or resell them without our written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Certificates-of-Knowledge.com is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform, including temporary unavailability, technical issues, or delays in manual payment confirmation. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform or our services. The "Last updated" date above shows when this page was last revised. Continued use of the Platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
